Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi says there is a possibility Deniz Undav will go out on loan this month.

The German has found it difficult adapting to the rigours of the Premier League after making the switch from Union SG in the Belgian top-flight to theAlbionlast summer.

The 26-year-old is still waiting for his full Premier League debut but has had more joy in the domestic cup competitions after scoring against Forest Green Rovers in the Carabao Cup last August and the FA Cup at Middlesbrough in early January.

He himself has spoken about thepossibility of a loan movebut it seemed as ifDe Zerbi would be against the ideaafter saying he did not want any more of his first-team squad going out on loan last week. However, on Friday, the Italian struck a rather different tone.

Undav, who scored 26 goals for Union last season, has been linked with a loan move to Championship sides Norwich City, Blackburn Rovers, Sunderland, and West Bromwich Albion and De Zerbis latest comments may give them hope of securing a short-term move for him.

When asked whether the striker was part of his plans at Brighton for the rest of the season, De Zerbi replied: There is the possibility for him to change team because hes not playing a lot, but [Deniz] Undav is an important player for us.

Hes not playing a lot of games because [Evan] Ferguson played well, he scored goals, [Danny] Welbeck is an important player, [Adam] Lallana is a teacher on the pitch for us.

Undav has started just two of his 12 appearances for Brighton so far. He is currently behind Danny Welbeck and Evan Ferguson in the striker pecking order.
